My massage career blossomed out of a deep fascination with the body-mind-spirit connection. At university, I studied Art and Cultural Anthropology, finding myself captivated by healing practices across different cultures. I began my exploration of healing and consciousness through yoga and meditation. After traveling and exploring the world, I ended up falling in love with bodywork at Heartwood Institute, a residential healing arts school in the mountains of Northern California. My five years at Heartwood was a unique opportunity to study with excellent bodywork instructors, and immerse myself in many massage styles including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Polarity, Craniosacral, Somatic Emotional Release, Trigger Point, and Myofascial.
In 2008 I moved to Kona, Hawai’i. Living here in Hawai’i Nei is such a gift, and I am so grateful to be here. I have been blessed to study the Hawaiian healing art of Lomilomi massage with many different kumu (teachers). In the spirit of giving back to the Hawaiian culture, which has given me so much, I donate 5% of my earnings from Healing Alchemy to support indigenous Hawaiian causes.
